Home & School

The Home and School committee at Parkview Junior Academy serves to strengthen the relationship between our school and its families. We do this through planning various social events throughout the year like game and skate nights and our annual Fall Festival. We also have fun with fundraising—bake sales, citrus fruit sales, and more! One event we look forward to the most each year is our International Food Festival. We have a very diverse school and church community and we enjoy celebrating different cultures with this event. We are well-known in the area for the large rummage sale we hold each year. Funds raised this past year were used to purchase 1) a refrigerated, filtered drinking fountain to improve the quality of the drinking water for our students, 2) an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and 3) supplies to complete our playground refurbishments to paint our older equipment and resurface the ground under these play areas. We look forward to interacting with our students and their families this year!  Go to our calendar to see what programs and events are scheduled.

Teachers receive in-service on our new AED

A new storage shed was delivered on September 27! Our current shed is deteriorating quickly and we were in need of a better place to store Home and School supplies and items for our annual Rummage Sale. The shed was purchased with funds raised last year by Home and School and donations from Mr. Fred Burghardt and his wife, Dr. Beth Cady Burghardt and another anonymous donor. Praise God!

                                                                                Color Dash: Sunday, April 22nd @ 10am

Come MOVE your body and walk or run 3K with our staff and students at our Color Dash! We will complete three laps around Burnet Park while being blasted with non-toxic, food-grade color dust--so come ready to get MESSY! Funds raised through this event will help us complete our landscaping project of replacing our cracked, uneven sidewalk and overgrown bushes. Funds in excess of that will go towards subsidizing worthy student tuition. Registration is $30 and includes a t-shirt and individual color dye packet. Click here to register!

Rummage Sale: Sunday, May 20th @ 9am-3pm
Large, indoor sale--come rain or shine! Featuring items big and small from furniture and sporting equipment to household appliances and baby/kid items. The proceeds of this sale will benefit Parkview Junior Academy's landscape project to replace the concrete sidewalk and bushes around the school.
